Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association
The Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association (UUMA) provides its members with information and services through its website. Welcoming Websites helped UUMA upgrade these services, integrating its offline membership database with an online, Drupal-managed membership database. The new website also features a variety of content management functions, enabling the organization to keep its members updated with important information and events.
Unitarian Universalist Service Committee
The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee is a nonsectarian organization that advances human rights and social justice in the United States and around the world. Welcoming Websites helped UUSC develop a strategy for its website, and implemented this strategy using a variety of standard and custom-developed Drupal modules. This project also included the integration of a new logo and graphical design into the UUSC's web presence, the addition of ecommerce functionality powered by Verisign's Payflow Pro technology, and interactive e-activism powered by Convio.
Unitarian Universalist Association
Welcoming Websites created the "Standing on the Side of Love" video for the Unitarian Universalist Association, to celebrate the association's longstanding commitment to marriage equality. This short video showcases photographs of Unitarian Universalist congregations participating in marriage ceremonies and demonstrating for marriage equality. The display of images is set to the song "Standing on the Side of Love," written by Jason Shelton and sung by Jeannie Gagné.
Rev. Rosemary Bray McNatt
Welcoming Websites worked with Rev. Rosemary Bray McNatt to develop a more unified look among her two established blogs (RevRose.com and TrusteeTalk.net) and her new blog (NoHomeTraining.org).
As part of this process, we migrated Trustee Talk into Wordpress and installed Wordpress for No Home Training. (Rev Rose was already in Wordpress). With all three blogs then using Wordpress, we produced three different variations of the Hemingway Wordpress theme and installed one on each of McNatt's blogs. The structural similarity between all three variations of Hemingway creates continuity between the three blogs, while the unique color schemes allow each blog to have its own personality.
Fourth Universalist Society
Welcoming Websites modified the design of Fourth Universalist Society's website to increase FUS brand unity. 4thu.org is a Wordpress website; we began the redesign process by installing the free Wordpress theme Glorious Day. We then modified this design to incorporate the colors and images that are central to Fourth Universalist Society's branded identity.
Unitarian Universalist Mass Action Network
Welcoming Websites has developed a Drupal-based site for UU Mass Action, in order to help the organization and its member churches share information about social justice events in Massachusetts. The website enables UU Mass Action to maintain a blog and resource archive, and to solicit donations from site visitors.
Jewish Women's Archive
Welcoming Websites worked with Jewish Women's Archive to improve the administrative back-end of the MakingTrouble.com website, which promotes JWA's landmark documentary about six of the greatest female comic performers of the last century. The new back-end is operated by Drupal, helping JWA staff easily manage a variety of content which appears throughout the MakingTrouble.com site.
Universalist Unitarian Church of Riverside
The Universalist Unitarian Church of Riverside (UUCR), in California, transitioned to a site based on the Drupal content management system. Their new site features a fresh design and increased functionality, including a sermon audio archive, surveys for website visitors, and a minister's blog. With the support of the congregation's website task force, lay leaders and church administrators were trained to add content to the website on Drupal's user-friendly interface. Welcoming Websites is enthusiastic about enhancing UUCR's online presence through increased functionality and usability.
Unitarian Universalist Statewide Advocacy Networks
The Unitarian Universalist Statewide Advocacy Networks are state-level organizations that mobilize Unitarian Universalists to advance social justice. The state networks are sponsored in part by the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee.
The UU Statewide Advocacy Networks website allows member organizations to share documents on creating and leading statewide networks. Many of these documents are available to the general public and can be viewed by all visitors to the website. Some documents, intended only for leaders of member organizations, are kept in a members-only section of the website, which requires authentication to access.
Unitarian Universalist Church of Fairfax
Welcoming Websites is creating a new Drupal website for this 500+ member congregation in Oakton, Virginia.
